FTP backup is supported by MQ Planet. You can backup your data to a remote server or device using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) connection. This is a practical remote backup destination as it allows you to store important files offsite. It can be considered as an additional protection against data loss as the result of hardware failure or other disasters.

Objectives of FTP are:

• To promote sharing of files (computer programs and/or data).

• To encourage indirect or implicit use of remote computers.

• To shield a user from variations in file storage systems among different hosts.

• To transfer data reliably, and efficiently.

MQ Planet will provide a secured connection to the FTP server, however the client must maintain the password provided in a secured place.

The backup process:

The backup process starts by installing special software from our side into your server that sends live data to the FTP server, and in case of failure we provide you with the solution to retrieve the data from the backup FTP server.

The process is not time consuming based in face that the backup FTP server is located in the same network therefore the data transaction process is going to be fast and effective.
